Some info. has come to light. I am told that the break is climbing out of High Wycombe and that it went after twenty miles with 130 to the finish! The little guy on the front is Dave Bedwell and his Frejus team mate is probably George Lander.

It looks as it could be the Tour of the Chilterns 1950 which George Lander won. He also won the 1949 event as an amateur riding for Polhill R.C. (for whom – lateral thinking – Bryan Wiltcher subsequently rode for)
