Evans signs for BMC Racing

The 32 year old world champion has left Silence-Lotto and will race for the American BMC Racing Pro Continental team.

Evans had been rumoured to be signing for Sky and joining fellow Australian Scott Sunderland. Instead he is leaving Marc Sergeant and joining another Belgian John Lelangue. The team is not assured of a place in the major UCI races including the Tour de France but no doubt Evans expects that his rainbow jersey will earn him a start.

Presumably Cadel knew that he was leaving Silence-Lotto when he worked his socks off for Philippe Gilbert at Lombardy and other late season races which just goes to show that Evans is weird in a nice way.
